Bringing Your Baby Parrot Home

Thank you for considering a baby parrot from us. Raising these little ones is something we take deeply to heart, and we want you to feel informed, included, and supported from the moment you join our list through the day your baby comes home.

Waitlist or Reservation List?

Our Waitlist is free. It is for families who are interested in a species but are not yet ready to place a deposit. When babies become available, we will reach out and let you know.

Our Reservation List is for families who have placed a deposit for an upcoming baby. Your deposit holds your place in line when a baby becomes available.

1. Joining the Reservation List

Once your deposit is received, we will send your contract within a few days. Please initial the first pages, complete the requested information, sign it, and return it at your earliest convenience.

We do keep track of returned contracts, so please do not let this important step slip through the cracks. It helps us make sure everything is clear and ready as your baby grows.

2. Watching Your Baby Grow

Our babies are hand-fed and raised with careful, daily attention. This allows us to closely monitor their growth, health, and development while helping them become comfortable with gentle human interaction from the very beginning.

The babies—and sometimes their parents—are our first priority each day. If we are a little slow getting back to you, please know we may have our hands full feeding, cleaning, tending nests, or simply spending time with the flock.

If you text us before 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time, we usually respond within an hour or two. At especially busy times, please allow us a little grace while we care for the babies.

You are always welcome to ask for updated photos. We also share photos and videos whenever possible on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. We do not promise weekly individual updates, simply because the babies’ care comes first, but we are happy to send a current photo when we are able.

3. Weaning at Their Own Pace

We believe babies should never be rushed to wean. Instead, we allow each baby to continue receiving food as they need it while gradually learning to enjoy and confidently eat on their own.

This often means our babies wean toward the longer end of the usual window—and we feel that is exactly as it should be. A baby who feels secure, well-fed, and cared for has the best foundation for becoming a confident companion.

Every bird is an individual, and personality is shaped by species, genetics, early care, and the loving relationship you build together. While no breeder can guarantee temperament, we do everything we can to raise healthy, well-socialized babies who are ready to bond with their new families.

4. Flying or Driving Home

When your baby is fully weaned, healthy, and ready to go home, we will contact you. At that time, the remaining balance is due and we can arrange pickup or discuss available flight options.

In-Person Pickup

In-person pickup is our favorite way to send a baby home. We love meeting the people who will become their family and having the chance to celebrate this special moment with you.

Just let us know when you are able to come, and we will schedule a time that works well.

Flight Through Delta

When airline transport is available and appropriate, we can arrange for your baby to fly home through Delta. We prepare the travel crate and make sure your baby has food and water for the journey.

As travel day approaches, we will provide the details you need for pickup at the receiving airport, along with information about what to expect on your end. We coordinate the flight, prepare the crate, and get your baby safely to the airport so you can follow their journey home.

5. Settling In at Home

When your baby arrives home, please let us know they made it safely. Those first days are a big transition, and we will send you guidance on helping your new companion settle in, what to expect, and how to make the adjustment as smooth as possible.

We may also check in and ask for updates. Your baby may now be your baby, but they will always matter to us. We are here to answer questions, offer support, and celebrate the sweet moments as your bond begins to grow.

A Lifetime of Love and Companionship

Enjoy this beautiful new chapter. We wish you and your baby a long life filled with love, joy, trust, and companionship.
