Reserve Your Cape Parrot Baby
Cape Parrots are rare, special birds, and their early-winter breeding season is brief. Families on our free Waitlist will be contacted when babies become available.
If you want to plan ahead and secure priority for an upcoming baby, you may place a Priority Baby Reservation.
A $500 non-refundable reservation deposit places you ahead of the Waitlist and reserves your place for a Cape Parrot baby from the upcoming season. Once your baby hatches, an additional $1,000 deposit is due. The remaining balance is due when your baby is fully weaned, healthy, and ready to come home.
Your reservation deposit is refundable if Parrot Bliss is unable to provide your baby for any reason. Otherwise, it secures your priority placement and lets you confidently begin preparing for your new little one.
About Cape Parrot
Cape Parrot Personality, Size, and Care Cape Parrots are Old World African parrots from the thoughtful, charming Poicephalus family. They are affectionate, playful, intelligent companions who enjoy being part of everyday family life. They grow to about 10–14 inches and can live 30 years or more with excellent care and a proper diet, which includes 1/4 cup of daily nuts. Capes often bond deeply with their people and thrive on gentle interaction, enrichment, and companionship. Many enjoy the presence of other parrots, but each bird is an individual. Introductions should always be gradual and supervised, with separate safe spaces for every bird.
