Feed them lots of fresh Veggies!

Call an avian vet immediately if you see:

  • Breathing difficulty, tail-bobbing, or open-mouth breathing
  • Blood, or major changes to droppings
  • Vomiting or active regurgitation
  • Sudden weight loss, fluffed posture, or sitting on the cage floor
  • Loss of balance, seizures, or other neurologic signs
  • Refusing food or water for more than a few hours
  • Visible injury, swelling, or bleeding

While you wait for help: keep your bird warm and quiet (about 80–85°F / 27–29°C), offer water and a favorite food only if swallowing is normal, and never give unprescribed medication.
